West Gordon Street Bridge Replacement
Kinsley replaced the dilapidated West Gordon Street bridge, where it crosses Jordan Creek, with an integral abutment, single-span bridge on a pre-drilled steel H-pile foundation. The bridge was replaced in two phases.
Description
Phase I included:
- A new stormwater management system, including excavating 16 feet down along two blocks of roadway
- Demolition of three-quarters of the existing bridge to leave a portion open to pedestrian traffic
- Partial construction of the new bridge
Phase II included:
- Demolition of the remaining bridge
- Completion of the new bridge
- New curbs, sidewalks, bridge railing and barriers
Our scope also included stream diversions for each phase of the project.
